Structure before pixels: sitemaps, flows, and annotated low-fi wireframes your whole buying committee can sign off.
Why wireframes beat jumping straight to visual design
When marketing, product, and leadership disagree on navigation, page types, or form steps, high-fidelity mockups only hide the argument behind colour and photography. Wireframes force agreement on structure, labels, and conversion paths first.
We see teams waste 30–40% of design budget redoing layouts because IA was never signed off. A wireframing sprint produces a sitemap, key templates, and mobile breakpoints everyone can comment on without debating brand gradients.
What a wireframing & IA engagement includes
Discovery: stakeholder interviews, analytics review (if available), content inventory, and primary user tasks mapped to pages.
Deliverables: sitemap, user flow diagrams, low-fidelity wireframes for agreed templates (home, listing, detail, forms, etc.), annotations for dynamic content and CMS fields, and two revision rounds on structure.
Out of scope unless added: visual design, copywriting, development, and usability testing — those are separate leaves you can add in a master SOW.
Timeline and workshops
Typical sprint: 2–4 weeks. Week 1 workshops and sitemap; Week 2–3 wireframes; Week 4 revisions and sign-off meeting with written acceptance.
You need one decision-maker available for weekly reviews. We run sessions in FigJam/Figma so remote stakeholders can comment asynchronously.
Handoff to design and development
Signed wireframes become the acceptance baseline for visual design and build. Dev estimates improve because page types, states, and form fields are enumerated — not guessed from a mood board.
We can hand off to our visual design or Next.js teams under one master contract, or export to your in-house squad with annotated frames.
How we price wireframing
Indicative projects start around €1,800 for focused microsites; multi-language corporate IA is priced after template count and stakeholder complexity are known. Fixed-scope quote within 24 hours of intake.
We line-item template count, languages, revision rounds, and workshop hours so finance can approve without hidden "UX phase" buckets. Rush delivery is available when content and approvers are already aligned.
When to choose wireframing over prototyping or visual design
Pick wireframing when the debate is "what pages exist and what goes on them" — not "how the button animates." If your team already agrees on flows but needs click-through validation, jump to the prototyping leaf instead.
